The ‘Secrets of the Soviet Airbase’ museum in Beregfürdő features a unique collection of artifacts, exhibits and photographs that focus on the presence and impact of the Soviet air forces in Hungary and Austria.

Part of the permanent exhibition, the Mi-24D combat helicopter is one of the highlights of the collection. Unique feature: it is the first export Mi-24 in the world!

We’re proud to have been contributed to this central piece of the collection by providing coatings for the restorative painting.

OWATROL NET-TROL Cleaner and Colour Restorer

The product restores grey, weather-beaten unfinished exterior wood to its natural colour. Unlike bleach or chlorine-based cleaners it will not damage the wood fibres. NET-TROL removes surfaces contamination while restoring a bright, vibrant look to the exterior surface.

What Types of Surfaces can it be Used on?

How to Apply it?

• apply the product onto a wetted surface, with a soft brush or with a stiff bristle/nylon brush, depending on the surface
• leave to stand for about 15 minutes
• rinse thoroughly with water. It is recommended to use of power washer.

Good Application Practice

• don’t let the product dry on the treated surface. If the surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application
• of water
• for wooden surfaces: Allow to dry 48 hours or until it meets the moisture content required by the chosen finish.
• do not use the product on aluminium

What is a Paint Conditioner?

Floetrol is a functional additive, that added to the paint:

• Helps paint flow - Eliminates brush and roller marks.
• Allows paint to adjust to difficult weather conditions, such as extreme hot and cold temperatures

What Type of Paints can it be Added to?

Floetrol is suitable for both interior and exterior applications and can be added to waterborne coatings, such as emulsion, acrylic or vinyl-based paints. Except for clear lacquers, Floetrol can also be added to wood stains and varnishes.
